Maron = Macaron. The saucey bits.

So, this is a continuation of the my post from  Macaron here.   And I am just gonna put in the little title thing and blurb here to make it nice and neat and the sae as my other posts.  SoO far I have enjoyed this figure, even without the need to go for the pervy shift body.  Buuut it does have the shift body and therefore needs to be covered as well.  For science of course.

Ok, so lets start with the card case that came with the game.  It features Alice the Gatekeeper.  It is stored in the top of the box on the folding flaps.  Appropriate?  Ironic? Hmmm.  It is the first thing that greets you when opening the box, so don’t let your mum see…  Alice is supposed to be a robot and she has leaked ‘protective fluid apparently.

Anyway the idea is its a card holder, for your train card etc etc.  Yes, as you can see, it’s usefulness is open to debate.  You could use it and if anyone sees it, instantly get labelled as a perverted geek of the worst kind.  The green liquid flows around quite freely, although I found the fit a bit tight when I put in my sample card, which is about the same size as a credit card.  The artwork is nice though.  I can’t remember if it is in the book featuring Alice or not.  I have a feeling it isn’t.

Of course as Alice is the gatekeeper to this she gets special treatment and the other side of the reversible bag features her as well.  Again, like the card, the actual usefulness of this side of the bag is open to debate.

To refresh, the safe side:

And then the side that goes with the card holder….:

Hmmm, I know that I don’t have the guts to go shopping for my groceries with that.  Heck, I might be up for a walk in Akihabara on a convention day with it, assuming I was drunk at the time, but even then I would probably think twice.

I am pretty certain that this artwork is Alice’s ‘knockdown’ pose from the book.

Ok and finally back to the figma and her shift body, which is used for when her battling is going badly.

As you can see, it’s a solid piece. There are no joints in the hips or waist.  It limits the posing a bit, but allows for a seamless look to the body.

Unlike the Revoltechs that just come with an extra set of clothes, the figmas opt for the body coming with damaged clothes.  Which is better?  Not sure really.  The figmas look smoother, but swing dangerously close to the statue side of things when it comes to this.

Still, the sculpting is really good as one would expect as there i no articulation to worry about.  Nice bust and stomach and butt.

Cool to still see the theme carried across as well.  There is enough clothing left to let you know who it is.

Looks like her pants exploded though.  Almost looks like she has an arsehole in that second pic too.  Strange but true….

Ok the sculpting is good, bar this one section.  If you read the first part of this review, with her clothes  intact, you will remember me going on about the zipper on her shorts and how nice it is that it goes all the way around.  Well, this shift body has something funky going on…

WHOA! What happened there.  Looks painful….

OK lets  slap her limbs on, it’s beginning to creep me out a little.

I don't think she likes this…

IMG_7737IMG_7738

There we go.  You can make her stand, but her legs are always spread.  I suspect this is mainly for posing and leaving set for a while anyway, not random fiddling.

IMG_7739IMG_7742IMG_7744IMG_7747IMG_7748IMG_7749IMG_7750IMG_7751

The sculpt of the shift body is pretty nice.  Again you can swap her faces over.  But the bored one doesn’t seem to match.  Add the opened mouth one for obvious reasons and the embarrassed one as well.  Again and angry face would have gone down nicely too.  You can still add the coat tails on as well if you desire.

The shift body makes a nice addition to this figure, it is sculpted well and being in the Queen's Blade universe, she needs a damaged clothes body, because otherwise she just isn't pervy enough.

Cute from the first game can be seen here.

Alice, the other character can be seen here.  She is  a Revoltech figure though and it's interesting to see how differently they are done.
