Queen's Gate - Alice, by Revoltech

Queen's Blade, the one pervy rude series to come out of Japan that I was tempted by.  Revoltech have made some nice figures of the characters and here we have a character originally from some computer game.  You see the Queen's Gate series allows for ladies from other franchises access to the Queen's Blade series and game books, where QB originated from.  Some other characters are SNK's Mai from King of Fighters and Kasumi from Namco's Dead or Alive series.  But they didn't get toys.

Please note, if you don't like to see nude toys, go no further.  This ain't for kids.

Alice here apparently comes from Nitroplus, which appears to be (to quote the words of wikipeadia) "visual novel computer software company."  Whatever that may be.  Meh, I didn't care, he looked like a cute, creepy devil girl thing and that's what I needed for my set.  Why she has Batman's bat symbol on her head I am yet to work out...

Doesn't really matter about eh trademark infringement, luckily Alice here is full of toy goodness.  And than some.  She come armed with a couple of pistols, with hunting knives attached to the bottom of them.  That is cool.  Oh and a whip, which also doubles as a prehensile tail.  Bonus.  Apparently Alice is a robot of sorts.  Makes sense I guess.

In the cool ways of Revoltech, they have seen fit to give her clothing, erm, well the body is moulded and her costume is rubbery stuff that can be taken off.  Why? Because the theme of Queen's Blade series is fan service.  The books from which they originate  from all have a losing pose, which usually involves damage to the clothes that only just strategically protect the character's modesty.  So Alice here comes with her normal clothes (pretty) and her damaged clothes (loser clothes).

Damaged clothes on the right.  They have a moulded butt in them. Oh and the yellow puddle.

But what about the pants? Oh yes, the pants.  In Alice's book, she often is in possession of a pants wedgie, as well as non-wedgie.  So we get full bottom coverage and erm, 'wedged' bottom coverage.  The final pair?  Well, a lot of the QB characters often pander to some odd sexual fantasy or another.  It seems that Alice here panders to one in particular, as her last pair of pants consist of a *ahem* soiled pair.  Added to that is a yellow puddle that is one of the accessories of the pack.

But it's not that disgusting, the book and box states that the puddle is actually 'protective' liquids that have leaked (because she is a robot you see).

The Queen's Blade figures all come with a fair whack of extra accessories.  Alice comes with extra pants, the aforementioned puddle, some extra faces and an extra curley whip, which is a different length as well, and the damaged dress.

The detail on the figure is quite good.  All the paint applications have been applied very crisply and cleanly, there is a strong bat motif going through the figure, the sign on the head, a couple of little demon things in her hair (which can be removed) and a couple of wings off of her upper arms.  Some details I like are on her boots.  She has a little heart on her boot's heel and a kind of broken heart thing on the tongue section of the boot as well.  Other details that I like are the orange hilights on her legs and all the incredible detail in her clothing.  Her faces involve a normal face, a donut eating face and a hurt face.

The dress is really well done.  Lots of stud, buckle and zip detail and all the paint applications that are there are well applied again. The damaged dress consists of the same dress, but with a large cut down the front, almost cleaving it in twain.  I do like the holsters for her weapons as well, which are unable to hold her weapons, but look cool, look like they could work and double up as some faux-wings of sorts.  Speaking of the weapons, the guns have some good details on the as well with different colours and paint designs.  She can hold them as a pistol, or as a dagger with the blade facing up.

Articulation is good.  All joints are the clickable Revoltech joints, and the only real whinge I have is that the shoulder could be double jointed or done a bit differently so that it could make it possible for her to reach across her chest a bit better.  Kaiyoudo do it for the Fraulein range, but have neglected this option for these QB characters.  I would really like to see this, especially since the QB ones are more likely to be posed in an action pose.  You can pull the joints apart a little bit, which extends the movement a little bit, bit it isn't as good as it could be.  Aside from that shoulder thought, the rest are fine.  I do like that they have joined her pigatils hair with revo joints.  She even has some extra holes in the back of her head if you want a fast movement, flowing effect.

Although she doesn't have waist joint, which is understandable due to the dress, she does have one in the rib section, which manages to suffice nicely.  Of course, moving this joint exposes her somewhat to prying eyes.

Yeah, you heard me!  Under the clothes are......

GIRLY BITS!

EEEEeek! Don't look!

Oh, Hey there!...                     Whoops!
I was a bit shocked as well.  I know some Japanese statues of certain types have anatomical correctness, but didn't expect anything like that here.  But there ya go.  Extra detail.  Erm, Great?

Alice here is a flat chested chick.  Nice adequate paint on her nipples.  Now I must say, the boobs didn't surprise me that much, but the details down below did.  Alice has also been supplied with a belly button, butt crack and (if it was painted) a camel toe...  Interestingly, the pants that are soiled are even slightly translucent around the vagina (there, I said it) area.  I could go on and on, but there isn't mush to be said really, the leg and arms detail are still there as her stockings and boots can't be taken off, but the plastic is a consistent flesh colour and no blemishes.

What makes the QB revoltechs cool is you can spin the thighs around so that it looks like the legs blend smoothly from her butt to under-thighs.  This is a cheap and effective way of avoiding large gaps in the joints in that are, which is something the Fraulein series suffer from.

Overall, I like this figure.  The nudity was a surprise and a bit of a laugh, but the details, articulation and accessories, added to the cool design make this quite a good toy, but it is a limited.  I believe the full title is 'Queen's blade extra, Queen's Gate: Alice' so I recommend one if you dig chick figures with guns. Like me.

Man this pot has taken me hours.  Behold the rest of the pics.
